To load a whole folder of scout files from the same championship — a season, a phase — without going through six steps for each file. Files in which everything is recognised with certainty go in by themselves; the others stop, and you open them one by one in the guided procedure of Import matches.
What you see

At the top «Where the matches go»: season, championship and phase. One folder, one championship: every match in the queue goes there.
Below, the «Rules», that is what to do with what the app does not know:
- Combinations and calls the app does not know — create them as new club codes, stop so that you match them, or ignore them;
- New players and coaches who do not resemble anyone — create them with the name in the file, or stop for them too.
Then «Choose a folder» or «Choose files», and «Upload and assess». After the assessment you see the counts — Files, Go in, Skipped, To check, Errors — and the table: file, match, date and status. Before the import the status is a forecast («Will go in», «Will be skipped», «Will stop»); then it becomes «Imported», «Skipped», «To check», «Copy of a match already imported», «Error». The Home or Guest label says whether the scout file is the home team's or the away team's. Under each stopped file, the reason: the team, the players, the coaches or the codes to recognise.
If the championship has the official schedule, a box says how many schedule matches still have no scout file, and which.
What you can do
- Assess without writing anything: «Upload and assess» reads the files and says what would happen. Until you press «Import», nothing changes in the archive.
- Import: the files go in one at a time, in date order. With «Stop after this file» the queue is interrupted with no harm done.
- Open a stopped file with «Open in the wizard»: it opens in another tab, with the file already loaded. When you close it, the queue row updates by itself and the stopped files of the same scoutman are assessed again.
- Retry the stopped files with «Retry the stopped files», after fixing a record or a code.
- See only the files of the matches still uncovered with «Show only their files».
Good to know
- The second copy of a match is always skipped: when both scoutmen scouted the same match, the first file that goes in wins. A stopped file that is a copy of a match already imported can be left.
- Anyone recognised only by similarity of the name always stops the file, whatever rule you chose: it is the case where a mistake would go unnoticed.
- The stops get fewer along the way. The assessment reads each file on its own; during the import the app remembers the players created and the codes matched in the previous files. For the codes it is enough to fix the first file of each scoutman.
- With the official schedule, home team, date, round and match number come from there. Without it, the home team is decided from the venue written in the file, when it says so; otherwise it stays as in the file, and the row points it out. The schedule is uploaded in Championships.
- «No schedule match between these teams» means a friendly or a file from another championship: it stops so that you decide.
- Closing the page stops the queue, without losing anything: the matches already in stay, and redoing the queue with the same folder they are skipped.
- «Schedule complete»: every match has a scout file. The files still stopped are copies.
