The club is the organisation, and it stays the same over the years; its teams change name with the sponsor. Keeping the two apart is what saves you from finding, three seasons later, three «teams» that are the same one.
What you see
The list of clubs, with city, logo, colour and the teams of each. At the top the search: by club, city or team.
Below, the «Team types»: First team, and those the administrator adds (Under 19, Serie B…). Next to each type, how many teams use it.
What you can do
- Create a club with «New club»: name, city, notes.
- Upload the logo and choose the colour in charts: they apply to all the club's teams, until one has its own.
- Open a club's teams: the name of a team leads to the Teams page, already filtered on that club.
- Delete a club that has no teams.
- Manage the team types — add, rename, order, deactivate. The administrator does it; the others see the list.
Good to know
- A team is identified by club and type, not by the sponsor's name. Each season's name is written in the team's form, in «Names by season».
- Without a choice the club takes the least used colour, so that two clubs are not confused in the charts.
- «First team» is the default type: it cannot be deactivated or deleted. A type used by some team cannot be deleted: you deactivate it, or change the type of those teams first.
- Clubs are also born by themselves: when an import creates a new team, it creates the club with the same name, if you do not choose one. Here you then give it the organisation's real name.
- A club left without teams after a merge is deleted together with the absorbed team.
- Logo: JPG, PNG or WebP, 2 MB at most.
